Discovery Transitions’ Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse

If you or a loved one is experiencing problems in which drugs and/or alcohol may be a factor, Discovery Transitions’ intensive outpatient program for substance abuse has a solution for you. Because denial and rationalization are fundamental to the problem of drug abuse, life problems often become overwhelming before the individual is ready to admit that he or she needs help.

Discovery Transitions offers an intensive outpatient treatment program specifically designed to meet the needs of anyone who needs help in breaking the cycle of addiction. Whether you are new to addiction—perhaps through the use and subsequent dependency on pain medication—or a recreational user turned addict, intensive outpatient therapy can help you turn your life around. Similarly, if alcohol is your primary problem, Discovery Transitions offers an intensive outpatient alcohol treatment program that will free you from the urge to drink.

Intensive Outpatient Drug Treatment (IOP)

An initial assessment will determine if Intensive Outpatient Drug Treatment is appropriate for your needs. Relevant factors such as personal and family history, type and amount of drugs used and for how long, physical health, other mental health issues, and present circumstances (family, work, housing, legal, etc.) are considered in order to make certain that you can derive maximum benefit from IOP drug treatment. In some cases, if the extent of physical dependency is severe, a referral for appropriate detoxification may be indicated.

Discovery Transitions’ Intensive Outpatient Drug Treatment program is based on evidence-based therapies that have been clinically proven to be effective in overcoming addiction. Our IOP program comprises a suite of therapeutic applications. We take pride in the successes of our alumni, many of who return to share their experience with our current clients.
